Dan Rosenfeld, PhD, is a award-winning psychologist, author, dating coach, table tennis player, and comedian whose work has been featured in The Wall Street Journal, The Atlantic, and NPR. His new book, The Confidence Equation, will be published in February 2026 and is now available for pre-order.
Dan earned his PhD in psychology from UCLA on a National Science Foundation fellowship, following his tenure as a Presidential Scholar at Cornell University. He has published over 40 scientific articles and has received multiple national awards from the American Psychological Association.

As Founder and Director of The Match Lab, Dan has coached more than 500 clients on improving their dating lives. His Instagram account on dating, relationships, and personal growth has an engaged audience of over 100,000 followers and generates more than 20 million views per month.
As an athlete, Dan is a two-time U.S. Open gold medalist in table tennis and a former member of the U.S. National Team. Living with cerebral palsy, he has redefined resilience through years of physical rehabilitation and competition at the highest levels of sport. In his free time, he coaches table tennis to people with Parkinson’s disease, using the sport as a form of rehabilitative therapy.
Dan has also dabbled in stand-up comedy, performing at top venues in Los Angeles and winning first place in the U.S. Comedy Contest.
